Sunyani: Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged voters to reject the return of former President John Dramani Mahama to the Jubilee House. Baffoe believes that endorsing Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7 will transition Ghana from a developing nation to a well-developed one.According to Ghana News Agency, Baffoe highlighted the economic and social policies proposed by Vice President Bawumia, the NPP's flagbearer for the 2024 General Election, as realistic and unmatched. He stated, "Dr Bawumia has shown us that he is ready to transform this country," urging voters not to make a mistake by allowing Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to return to power.Baffoe addressed a news conference in Sunyani, where he argued that Mahama has already benefited significantly from Ghanaians and suggested that it is time to retire him. He described Alhaji Dr Bawumia as the best candidate for the presidency, asserting that Ghanaians would not regret voting for him.Flanked by party executives, including Kofi Boateng, the Bono Regional Secretary of the NPP, Baffoe expressed confidence in Bawumia's integrity and track record. He reminded voters of the nation's continuous support for Mahama since 1996, urging them to remain vigilant and not be swayed by what he termed the "propagandist strategies" of the NDC.Baffoe warned that voting for the NDC in the upcoming elections would undermine the achievements of the current government in stabilizing and progressing the country's economy.
