Accra: Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, the Member of Parliament for Krachi East, has extended his deepest sympathies to the government, the military, and the entire nation, following the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of five government officials and three military officers.
According to Ghana News Agency, the deceased include Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Defence Minister, and Dr Ibraahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology. In a message to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the MP acknowledged the immense loss the country has suffered, describing it as a painful blow to the nation.
Mr Djabab stated, "We're not just mourning the loss of individuals; we're mourning the loss of dedicated public servants who worked tirelessly for the betterment of our nation." He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for comfort and strength for the bereaved families, expressing hope that God grants them the strength to cope with this loss and that their memories live on.
