Kadjebi DCE Tours BECE Examination Centres, Encourages Candidates

Kadjebi: Dr. Sam Issaka Suraj, the Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE), visited the six Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres in the district to encourage the candidates.

According to Ghana News Agency, the tour took Dr. Suraj to KASEC centre 'A' and 'B', DOPASS Centre 'A' and 'B', and Dodo-Amanfrom centre 'A' and 'B'. At the Dodo-Amanfrom examination centre, he was received by Mr. Agbesi Atsrima and Mr. Michael Agbeko, the supervisors for centre 'A' and 'B'. He advised the candidates to work independently and have confidence in their writing and reminded them of the Free Senior High School after the examination.

At DOPASS Centre 'A' and 'B', Dodi-Papase, where he was welcomed by Xornam Agbo and Felix Atsutse, Supervisors for centre 'B' and 'A', respectively, Dr. Suraj urged the candidates to write with confidence to pass with flying colours. At KASEC examination centre 'A' and 'B', Kadjebi, he met with Mr. Christopher Agorkle, the Kadjebi District Examination Officer, and other examination officials.

The DCE told the candidates that the exam was meant to assess what they learnt during their three years of study at Junior High School, so they should not panic but rather write with courage. A total of 1,467 candidates, including 765 males and 702 females, are expected to write the BECE in the district, with six supervisors, six assistant supervisors, and 54 invigilators overseeing the examination.

The candidates wrote Social Studies and Computing on Wednesday, June 11, and are expected to write English Language and Career Technology today, Thursday, June 12.
