Juaboso Assembly Engages Stakeholders on Land Use Regularization

Juaboso: The Physical Planning Department of the Juaboso District Assembly has convened a meeting with landowners in the district to discuss regularizing land usage to ensure proper planning of buildings, particularly in new areas. The meeting included individual landowners, stools and families, developers, corporations, and institutions within the district.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Daniel Darko Gyapong, Technical Officer of the Juaboso Physical Planning Department, elaborated on the national planning policy and its implications for land usage. He highlighted the importance of assessing sites for potential hazards, such as flooding and landslides, and considering their proximity to electricity. Mr. Gyapong stressed the necessity of acquiring building permits from the Assembly's planning authorities before beginning any construction, to ensure compliance with national policies, the local development plan, and safety standards.

Mr. Gyapong stated, "Well designed and planned buildings can be achieved by taking a proactive and collaborative approach at all stages of the planning processes of building." This underscores the importance of thorough planning and collaboration in achieving high-quality development.

District Chief Executive for Juaboso, Mr. Alexander Adu Quist, encouraged landowners to engage with architects, engineers, and other relevant professionals to ensure proper planning and construction in the district. He expressed that the workshop aimed to promote responsible and sustainable development, ensuring that buildings are safe, functional, and contribute to well-planned communities within Juaboso.
