London: Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Minister for the Interior, has commended the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Ghana for their efforts in aiding the country's development agenda. He highlighted their contributions in building schools, hospitals, providing potable water facilities, and supporting the underprivileged in the community during his speech at the 59th Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United Kingdom.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Convention, attended by over 35,000 guests, aimed to strengthen the connection between man and God while fostering a spirit of brotherhood within the Community. The event also focused on enhancing the understanding of Islamic teachings through various keynote speeches and provided a platform for civic leaders, parliamentarians, political leaders, diplomats, and faith-based organizations to discuss pathways to peace.
Alhaji Muntaka praised the Community for their slogan, "the love for all, hatred for none," and acknowledged the unity and diversity displayed by attendees from different continents working together for humanity. He urged the Community to continue their efforts in promoting peace and providing leadership globally.
He expressed his hope that the unity and purpose demonstrated at the Convention would inspire attendees to continue developing their communities back home. The Minister assured the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Ghana of the Government's continued support in preventing religious intolerance and ensuring their freedom to practice their religious rites without hindrance.
