Ghanaian Hiplife musician, Kweku Darlington, has revealed the reasons for his break from music throughout 2023.According to him, he was severely ill for an entire year because friends who turned enemies used black charm, 'juju' on him.In an interview with Joy Prime on August 30, 2024, he described the physical and emotional toll this period took on him, stating that the attack even manifested on his skin, leaving marks that he still bears.'It was so bad for me. I had people, frenemies. Friends that turned into enemies tried doing me stuff. It went as far as Juju and all that stuff It was very crazy. So, you were not hearing of me at that time.'It even came off my skin. Like, it was so bad that I couldn't even go out. I still have some of the marks on my skin,' he shared. He added that the attack was intended to keep him indoors and prevent him from making music and moving freely.'The whole idea was just to keep me inside so I couldn't come outside because I'm dangerous when I'm outside. Definitely , I'll be making music, moving here and there. So the idea was to keep me inside. So in a nutshell, I was buried with only my head out,' he added.Despite the challenges, Darlington expressed that he is now on the path to recovery and has started to feel better since his last appearance on the show.Source: Ghana Web
