Hohoe: The Hohoe E.P. Senior High School (HEPSS) has taken delivery of five bundles of roofing sheets from the Hohoe Municipal Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO). The support is to help the school re-roof some classroom blocks that were affected by a rainstorm to enhance quality teaching and learning.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), expressed the belief that the donation would address the situation. He highlighted the Assembly's efforts to engage the contractor on a Coastal Development Authority (CODA) project, which had stalled, to ensure its completion with the release of the Common Fund.Mr Kumi emphasized that the Assembly and the Member of Parliament were committed to supporting the school to become a model institution in the region. Mr Franklin Amesimeku, the Headmaster of HEPSS, expressed gratitude to the Assembly and NADMO for the roofing sheets, stating that they would facilitate the re-roofing of the classroom blocks for seamless academic activities.Mr Raphael Kumaga, Hohoe Municipal NADMO Director, stated that the organization would realign its mandate within the municipality, focusing on public education and sensitization for disaster prevention. He assured that NADMO would strive to ensure the availability of relief items to support victims when necessary.
