Abakrampa: Nana Nkweefi IX, the Gyasehene of the Abura Traditional Area in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region, has urged the youth to uphold the values of hard work to achieve success in life. This call was made during the purification rites of stools to mark his maiden anniversary at a ceremony held in Abakrampa.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Gyasehene expressed his concerns about the increasing involvement of youth in various criminal activities, emphasizing that this trend is worrisome. He encouraged young people to direct their energies towards productive activities, highlighting that there are no shortcuts to success.
Nana Nkweefi also advised the youth to focus on legitimate opportunities and take advantage of government initiatives designed to provide meaningful employment. He praised the Youth Employment Agency's initiative to recruit over 10,000 youth and urged young people to participate in such programs to reap the benefits.
Additionally, the Gyasehene called on community members to set aside their differences and work together for the development of the traditional area. Mr. Kwasi Aidoo, a welder, shared his support for the Gyasehene's message, committing to work hard and contribute positively to his community.
