Greater Accra Regional Health Director Engages Ledzokuku Health Officials on Rebranding Efforts

Accra: Dr Robert Amesiya, the Greater Accra Regional Director of Health Services, has embarked on a familiarisation tour of the Ledzokuku Health Directorate, aiming to enhance the region's health service delivery. Accompanied by Deputy Director Administration Mr Emmanuel Taadi, Deputy Director of Public Health Dr Farida Abdullai, and other regional officials, Dr Amesiya's visit marked a significant step in promoting efficient health services.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Amesiya's initial stop was the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, where he engaged with Municipal Chief Executive Mr Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah and Social Services Sub-committee Chairperson Mr Emmanuel Kabu Saint. The discussions centered on strategies to optimize health services within the municipality. Present at the meeting were Municipal Director of Health Services Ms Gifty Ofori Ansah and Medical Superintendent of Lekma Hospital Dr Akua Gyimah Asante.

During his visit to the Ledzokuku Municipal Health Directorate, Dr Amesiya met with staff from the Teshie Community Clinic and Camp 2 Health Centre, where the MCE assured them of the assembly's support. He emphasized his commitment to rebranding the health services in Ledzokuku, promising collaborative efforts to achieve this goal.

At Lekma Hospital, Dr Amesiya and the MCE interacted with hospital staff, addressing their inquiries and highlighting the four approaches adopted by the Ghana Health Services' Director General to enhance health delivery in the country. Dr Amesiya lauded the hospital's management and staff for their dedication, cleanliness, and adherence to ethical standards, encouraging continuous improvement through feedback.

The MCE motivated the hospital staff to maintain their dedication, emphasizing that rebranding Ledzokuku with a focus on health service delivery is a top priority. The regional health director and his entourage concluded their visit with a tour of the hospital's facilities, including the emergency and maternity wards, a newly constructed patient toilet, and a liquid oxygen plant recently provided by the U.S government.
