Ghana to Host 5th Inter Tourism Expo in Accra in October

Accra: Ghana will once again take centre stage in the global tourism space as it prepares to host the 5th edition of the Inter Tourism Expo Accra (iNTTA 2025) from October 23 to 25 at the Palms Convention Centre, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

According to Ghana News Agency, the event is organised in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts. It is expected to be a landmark gathering on the regional tourism calendar. The Expo, themed 'Cultures Connecting: Fostering Tourism Exchange and Understanding,' aims to bring together stakeholders from Ghana, West Africa, and the global tourism community to foster cultural diplomacy, business networking, and strategic partnerships.

More than 30 countries are expected to participate, with tourism boards, airlines, hotels, and travel technology companies showcasing their products and services. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience live cultural performances, culinary showcases, fashion displays, traditional arts, and other creative expressions from Ghana and beyond.

The Expo will feature business-to-business forums, investment summits, policy dialogues, and a high-level diaspora forum, providing avenues for collaboration and innovation across the tourism value chain. Other activities include familiarisation trips to tourist attractions, nightlife showcases, and a Youth and Innovation Pavilion to highlight emerging talents, startups, and digital solutions shaping the industry's future.

Professor Kobby Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the GTDC, stated that the Expo reflects Ghana's growing reputation as a tourism powerhouse in Africa. He emphasized that iNTTA 2025 is more than an event, describing it as a movement inviting the world to experience Ghana's story and build bridges connecting cultures and economies.

Mr. Emmanuel Treku, Chief Executive Officer and Convener of the Inter Tourism Expo Accra, remarked that the Expo calls the global tourism community to rally around Ghana's vision of promoting tourism as a driver of growth and intercultural exchange. He added that tourism is collaborative, cultural, and connected, and it begins in Accra this October.
