Accra: The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, will soon launch direct flights from London Gatwick Airport to Kumasi Prempeh International Airport (PIA), commencing on December 3, 2024. This notable development marks a significant milestone in enhancing air connectivity between the United Kingdom and Ghana, catering to the growing demand for efficient travel options.According to Ghana News Agency, a statement released in Accra by GACL detailed the flight schedules. Departures from London Gatwick are set for 02:10 hours, with arrivals in Kumasi at 09:05 hours. The return flights will leave Kumasi Prempeh International Airport at 11:00 hours, with an expected arrival at London Gatwick by 18:00 hours.The statement also highlighted that an additional flight is planned for December 15, 2024, to accommodate passengers traveling during the Christmas holidays. GACL has indicated that subsequent flight schedules will be announced in the forthcoming weeks, providing more options for travelers.
