First Cohort of Tullow AgriVentures Programme Graduates from Year-Long Training

Accra: Ten Ghanaian agribusinesses have successfully graduated from the Tullow AgriVentures Programme (TAP), completing a year-long business training and support initiative.According to Ghana News Agency, the businesses received tailored business development support, market linkages, and technical guidance under the TAP, which was implemented by the Innohub Foundation.The inaugural cohort of TAP participants, each of whom received $10,000 last year to scale their operations, includes Tropical Snacks, Vicca Juice, Fafas Breakfast, Entofarms, H.A Farms, Madolf Ventures, Wami Agro, Vokia Farms, Defarmacist Group Limited, and Minana Services. TAP, an initiative by Tullow Ghana in partnership with Innohub Foundation, aims to empower agribusinesses, foster job creation, and drive economic growth in Ghana's agricultural sector.The programme is designed to act as a catalyst for sustainable agricultural expansion, boost rural incomes, and generate a lasting economic impact. The first edition of TAP supported ov er 400 new agribusinesses and distributed more than $600,000 to aid small businesses nationwide. Under its second edition, Tullow Ghana has provided $10,000 each to an additional 20 agribusinesses to support their growth and create employment opportunities along the agriculture value chain.Speaking at the graduation ceremony in Accra, Mr. Edmund Fiifi Enchill, Social Performance Manager at Tullow, highlighted the successful outcomes from the first edition and commended the participants for their enthusiasm. He emphasized Tullow's commitment to creating youth employment through the TAP Programme and encouraged the agribusinesses to continue exploring ideas and seeking support for growth.Ms. Juliet Yayra Dzasi, Innohub's Programme Coordinator for TAP, remarked on the programme's impact, noting that all ten winners from the first edition received dedicated funding for business expansion. She highlighted a success story of a business on the verge of securing approximately GHS10 million from a bank to scale op erations.In an interview, Mr. Vozbeth Kofi Azumah, CEO of Vokia Farms, shared how the TAP funding enabled him to expand his business and increase staff strength from five to 20, with further growth anticipated. He also reported a significant boost in production capacity, from 1,000 pieces to over 24,000.Tullow Ghana, the operator of the Jubilee and Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) oilfields, along with Innohub, pledged their ongoing commitment to strengthening Ghana's agribusiness landscape through continued engagement, training, and funding support.
