Ewe Loyalty Foundation Bolsters Support for Abor Orphanage

Abor: The Ewe Loyalty Foundation, a non-governmental organization in the Volta Region, has showcased its dedication to social responsibility by making a significant donation to the 'In My Father's House Village Orphanage in the Keta Municipality.

According to Ghana News Agency, the donation, valued at over GHC10,000, comprised essential items such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, boxes of spaghetti and tin tomatoes, assorted drinks, packs of bottled and sachet water, detergents, toiletries, learning materials, as well as clothing and footwear. Mr. Julius Kukubor, the Founder of the Association, highlighted that the Foundation's main objective is to provide hope to less privileged students in the area by addressing their daily needs and ensuring the long-term development of the school.

Mr. Shine Eric Setor, the General Secretary of the Foundation, emphasized that uplifting the less privileged is the organization's primary duty. He stated that the support is more than charity; it is an investment in the future of these children and the country. The Ewe Loyalty Foundation originated as a Facebook group in March 2021 and was officially registered with the Registrar General Department in October 2023. The foundation focuses on supporting its members, orphans, prisoners, hospitals, and deprived schools through visits, donations, and volunteer activities within Ewe communities.

Reverend Father Joseph Rabbi Ozy, the Director of the school, expressed gratitude on behalf of the staff and students for the Foundation's generosity. He encouraged the Foundation to extend their assistance to others in need. He noted that such donations have a transformative impact on the children's well-being and growth, greatly supporting the school's various needs.

Teachers and students who spoke with the Ghana News Agency expressed excitement and appreciation for the donations. They acknowledged the timely intervention and its potential to positively impact many children and communities. They also called upon other philanthropists, corporate entities, individuals, and the government to help address some of the school's pressing challenges, including infrastructure needs.
