kumasi: MTN's Bright Scholarship Programme beneficiary, Evans Aryeh, emerged as the most outstanding graduate in Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) during a graduation ceremony at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Officials of the telecommunication giants were on the campus of the University to celebrate with 14 beneficiaries at the 58th congregation of KNUST when 23-year-old Evans Aryeh received the prestigious award from the College of Health Sciences.According to Ghana News Agency, part of the citation inscribed on a plaque presented to Aryeh at the event reads: "Your diligence, perseverance, and dedication to academic excellence have led you to achieve this significant milestone, and the College of Health Sciences is delighted to acknowledge your accomplishment." Other beneficiaries who graduated include Emmanuel Yuorkuu (BSc. Chemical Engineering), Kwarteng Isaac Owusu (BSc. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), Gyano Charity Joseph (BSc. Telecommunication Engineering), Teye Samuel (BS c. Chemical Engineering), John Mensah Brefo (BSc. Real Estate), Dora Ameyaa Poku (BA. Publishing Studies), and Victoria Etornam Akweley (BA. Sociology).Aryeh told the media that the Bright Scholarship came in handy at a time his family was in financial distress due to a serious sickness that had befallen his sister. He expressed his profound gratitude to the officials of the MTN Ghana Foundation for their generous support.The MTN Bright Scholarship covers the tuition, accommodation, and stipends for beneficiaries who also receive a laptop each. The Programme seeks to eliminate financial obstacles and empower talented individuals to achieve their academic aspirations and reach their full potential. It is a leading initiative of the MTN Ghana Foundation designed to offer financial aid and mentorship to bright and promising students who lack the means to pursue higher education.
