EPCG Nutifafafia Hadzihaga Choir Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Choral Concert

Tema Newtown: The Nutifafafia Hadzihaga of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPCG), Tema Newtown, has celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with a choral concert. The celebration, themed 'With Harmonious Heart, Sing Praises to God', aimed to encourage Christians to use songs as a medium of socialization and to strengthen bonds with their brethren.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Benjamin Adjie-Afenu, the host pastor for EPCG, Nutifafafia, stated that the choral concert was organized as part of their anniversary to evangelize to people through songs. He emphasized that songs are beneficial for the soul and enable individuals to reflect on the goodness of God. Mr. Adjie-Afenu referenced Psalms 150:5-6, highlighting that Jesus Christ commanded Christians to come together to glorify him through songs of ministration.

Mr. Adjie-Afenu mentioned that it would be selfish of Christians not to preach and evangelize for their brothers to also know God and enjoy all the good promises that come from him. He explained that EPCG took the charge to celebrate their anniversary with the community using songs as a medium of evangelism. He encouraged the choir to continue their efforts in using songs to win souls for Christ, urging them to sing from their hearts and forgive one another so that God would accept their praises.

Furthermore, Mr. Adjie-Afenu encouraged the choir to recruit younger people to ensure its continuity. The anniversary event brought together over 10 choirs from different congregations and churches. The EPCG Nutifafafia Hadzihaga Choir, which began when a small passionate young Christian group decided to sing to glorify God, has observed different generations since its establishment in 1994.

The choir took the opportunity to honor its founding fathers and mothers, who through their sacrifice, trained many young ones to take up the mantle. They commended the late Mr. Emmanuel Setiatorme, the late Madam Catherine Kueliho, and Madam Roseline Mawuenam Kumasewu for the enduring legacy they established.
