EMCPS Cohort Congratulates Sam George on Ministerial Appointment

Accra: The fifth cohort of the Executive Masters of Conflict, Peace, and Security (EMCPS) at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has congratulated Mr. Sam Nartey George on his appointment as Ghana's Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations. They commended Mr. George, who has been the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram in the Greater Accra Region since 2016, for his leadership and commitment to national development.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. George's colleagues at EMCPS expressed their confidence in his capabilities through a statement. They believe that his experience in governance and policy formulation will significantly contribute to advancing Ghana's digital transformation agenda. They specifically pointed out areas such as digital infrastructure, skills development, cybersecurity, and data protection, which they expect he will influence in his new role.

The statement from the EMCPS cohort praised Mr. George's leadership and commitment to national development, attributing his ministerial appointment to these qualities. Dr. Emmanuel Hopeson, representing the EMCPS5 class, shared his joy over Mr. George's appointment, highlighting his visionary qualities and strategic insight. Dr. Hopeson emphasized Mr. George's passion for national progress and his ability to address complex challenges, expressing confidence that he will make a lasting impact in his new role.

Born on January 22, 1985, in Somanya, Eastern Region, Sam George holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an LL.B from the University of London. He also earned an Executive Master's in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the KAIPTC and an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Before his parliamentary career, Mr. George held the position of Assistant Director at the Office of the Head of Civil Service from 2010 to 2014, and later served as a Communications Specialist at the Presidency from 2014 to 2016. In Parliament, he has contributed to the Public Accounts and Communications Committees.
