Nkroful: The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has donated a water storage tank to the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High School (NASS). The donation followed an appeal from the school management due to leakage in the old tank which served as the water reservoir for the school.According to Ghana News Agency, the donation of the brand-new tank brings to 24, the number of projects Mr Kofi Buah had embarked upon in the school. Speaking in an interview after the donation, Mr Kofi Buah, who is also the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the December 07 election, used the opportunity to catalogue some interventions in the school. The MP, who is also an alumnus of NASS, reiterated his commitment towards quality education delivery in the district.Mr Kofi Buah highlighted the establishment of the Yinson Hall, an ultra-modern Assembly Hall facilitated through a private company, as well as the provision of sound speakers. He also mentioned the constructi on of a six-unit classroom block, a staff bungalow, the donation of a pick-up vehicle, and the donation of renography equipment to the school.In addressing the energy needs of the school, the MP embarked on a massive electrification project involving the extension and replacement of obsolete bulbs. Additionally, he spearheaded an asphaltic overlay of school roads, donated Mathematical sets and jerseys to the school, and renovated the old Assembly Hall, which is now used as a Dining Hall.Furthermore, Mr Kofi Buah hosted a group of NASS students at Parliament House in 2011 to help them acquaint themselves with parliamentary proceedings. He has also donated a significant amount of money to support the smooth running of the school. Currently, he has initiated the construction of an ultra-modern 6-unit storey classroom block to meet the increasing population demand of the school, by providing building materials for the project.
