Election Security Is a Shared Responsibility, Says Police Commander.

Ada: The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mr. Joseph Atsu Dzineku, who serves as the Ada Divisional Police Commander, has called upon the residents of Ada and the wider Ghanaian populace to support security efforts in ensuring a peaceful, violence-free election process.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Dzineku emphasized that Ghana's global reputation as a democratic and peaceful nation is at stake, and this reputation can be upheld with the cooperative efforts of all citizens. He assured the public that security personnel are not deployed to harass voters but to safeguard lives and property, urging electors to work collaboratively with security forces at polling stations.The Divisional Commander praised the Ada community for their history of peaceful elections and encouraged them to maintain this commendable record. He reminded voters of their duty to participate in the electoral process and advised them to return home after casting their votes to minimize disturbances, although they are welcome to observe the counting process later.Mr. Dzineku suggested that it might be more convenient for voters to follow election results and updates online or through radio and television broadcasts after voting. He concluded by reiterating the police force's commitment to maintaining peace and order throughout the general elections.
