Ekumfi Youth Empowerment Summit 2025 Launches to Tackle Unemployment and Education Challenges

EKUMFI: The Ekumfi Youth Empowerment Summit (EYES) 2025 has been launched in the Central Region, uniting traditional leaders, youth groups, political parties, educators, and media representatives to address pressing challenges such as unemployment and limited access to education. The summit, scheduled for April 2025, will focus on "Empowering Ekumfi's Tomorrow through Innovation, Youth Networking, and Cultural Orientation."According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Adu Gyamfi Marfo, a representative of Kingdom FM, stated that the event was organized by local youth in collaboration with Kays Event and HR Solutions. The initiative aims to foster personal and professional growth among Ekumfi's youth, encouraging self-respect, discipline, and active participation in community development.Nana Nyieku-Otwerkoko, the event's chairman, praised the organizers' vision, highlighting the opportunities and challenges reflected in the summit's theme. He emphasized the need for Ekumfi to unlock its full potential by harnessing its hardworking natives and rich resources, urging participants to engage in impactful discussions.Representing the traditional leaders, Nana Appa Korankye VII stressed the importance of empowering the youth with skills and resources to drive socio-economic growth. He called on the Ekumfi District Assembly to implement government programs like vocational training and youth entrepreneurship support to enhance youth participation in national development.Dr. Stephen Yamoah, Executive Director of Nuclear Power Ghana, noted the significance of equipping youth with technical and entrepreneurial skills, mentioning Ekumfi's potential as a nuclear power development site.
