EC’s Special Voting Exercise Begins in Techiman South.

Techiman: The Electoral Commission (EC)'s nationwide special voting exercise for Election 2024 commenced precisely at 0700 hours in the Techiman South Constituency of the Bono East Region. The early morning start saw eligible voters forming orderly queues, ready to cast their ballots at the designated polling stations.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. William Bamfo-Apori, the Techiman South EC Officer, reported that a total of 1,253 voters were anticipated to take part in the special voting exercise across two polling stations in the constituency. Specifically, polling station 'A' is set to accommodate 627 voters, while polling station 'B' will cater to 626 voters. Mr. Bamfo-Apori confirmed that all necessary voting materials were delivered punctually, ensuring a smooth commencement of the exercise.Political party agents were present at both polling stations to oversee the voting process, ensuring transparency and fairness. Security personnel were deployed to maintain peace and order throughout the exer cise. Additionally, election observers from respected bodies such as the Economic Community of West African States Election Monitors (ECOWAS) and the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) were also in attendance, providing an extra layer of scrutiny to the proceedings.
