Accra: Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the Chairman of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving (NDPT) committee, has commended the Special Group of Companies Limited for its generous support towards the celebration of the NDPT. He emphasized the company's commitment to promoting national unity and spiritual reflection, noting that such partnerships are vital to the success of the annual event and the nation as a whole.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Chairman of the NDPT committee expressed his gratitude during a courtesy visit to the management of Special Group of Companies Limited. The visit aimed to show appreciation and formally invite them to the occasion. The NDPT is designed to bring together Christians, Muslims, and other religious groups for a common purpose under the theme: 'Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity.'
The Christian segment of the program will be held at the forecourt of the State House from 0800 hours to 1000 hours, followed by Muslim prayers at the National Mosque from 1230 hours to 1400 hours. The event will be held simultaneously in all 16 administrative regions and 261 districts across the country.
Mr. Ankrah noted that supporting both the Christian and Muslim activities is no small undertaking, as they expect approximately 5,000 attendees for the Christian program and between 1,500 to 2,000 for the Muslim program. He highlighted that the involvement of business leaders like those from the Special Group of Companies reflects a shared commitment to national development and unity, demonstrating the vital role the private sector plays in advancing the country's collective aspirations.
He further stated that the President believes Ghana is a blessed nation, experiencing various forms of governance since gaining independence over 67 years ago, and now enjoying the stability of the Fourth Republic. Despite electoral tensions, Ghana consistently emerges stronger, showcasing the resilience of its democracy. He added that the unity Ghana enjoys is an intangible asset, where prosperity and development are measured not just by numbers but also by the collective mindset of the people.

He stated that the company agreed to sponsor the celebration in alignment with the President's vision, believing that independence and peace in Ghana hold profound significance.
