Role of digital tools in promoting digital inclusion in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) was discussed at a two-day training session held on July 17-18 by the National Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs (French: CNFCE), for some 50 Tunisian companies operating in various sectors.This training session is part of an agreement between the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (French: UTICA) and the COMESA Business Council (CBC).The training session also discussed goals and techniques for using the e-finance and e-payment platforms that COMESA is preparing to launch in its 21 member countries.The goal is to build these countries( skills in terms of financial inclusion, e-commerce and fight against digital illiteracy.The aim is also to facilitate financial and commercial transactions between Tunisian companies and their counterparts in the continent, and to strengthen their competitiveness.The training session was led by a CBC high-level delegation led by CBC C EO Teddy Soobramanien.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
