The southern territory comprises eight church clusters from the Volta, Oti, Greater Accra, and Central regions.Rev. Akorli, drawing inspiration from the theme 'flee to the mountain' based on Genesis chapter 19 verses 15 to 20, urged Christians to cleanse their lives with God's word to witness the necessary changes. He encouraged them to be strict with themselves to avoid succumbing to worldly temptations, warning that focusing on their problems instead of God would only lead to despair. As an executive member of the Volta Regional Ghana Pentecostal Council of Churches, Rev. Akorli applauded CIGH for its relentless efforts in aiding children living in extreme poverty to achieve self-sufficiency, thereby reducing poverty in Ghanaian society.Rev. Papa Twum Barima, S enior Manager of Partnership in charge of the Southern Sector, highlighted the mutual dependence between CIGH and the churches for effective and efficient operations. He urged pastors to supervise the proper allocation and use of funds at their Child and Youth Development Centres and to remain open to training opportunities. He emphasized the importance of establishing robust governance controls at these centers to prevent fraudulent activities.Mrs. Florence Sena Amponsah, Senior Manager of Programme Support at CIGH, noted that the organization's objective is for every child to thrive and become an influential figure in their family and society. She advised against using food as an incentive to attract children to programmes and encouraged pastors to collaborate with Child and Youth Development Workers and other stakeholders to develop programs and policies that would unlock the hidden talents of the children under their care.
