Catholics in Kadjebi Observe Palm Sunday with Procession Through Streets

Kadjebi: Congregants of the Blessed Heart of Mary Parish of the Roman Catholic (R.C) Church in Kadjebi in the Oti Region observed Palm Sunday with a procession through the principal streets of Kadjebi. Reverend Father Anselmous Mawusi, the Parish Priest, delivered a sermon emphasizing the significance of Palm Sunday as Jesus's last triumphant journey to Jerusalem.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Fr. Mawusi explained that the day, also known as Passion Sunday, holds an important place in the Christian liturgical calendar. It highlights themes such as celebration, prophecy, and the humility of Jesus as he approached the culmination of his earthly ministry. He expressed gratitude for the divine mercies on the congregation in 2024 and prayed for the fulfillment of their plans and thoughts.

Rev. Fr. Mawusi urged the congregants to reflect on their commitment to discipleship, emphasizing the fleeting nature of popular opinion and the importance of remaining steadfast in one's faith. He encouraged reflection on Jesus's journey to Jerusalem to deepen faith, foster communal worship, and prepare for Holy Week's significant events.

Additionally, he advised the congregants to think beyond themselves and consider others to ensure a peaceful living environment and to avoid sins.
