Accra: Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a hopeful candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer position, has extended his congratulations to the NPP-USA New York Chapter in celebration of its 33rd anniversary, recognizing it as one of the oldest diaspora branches of the Party.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Acheampong emphasized the significance of this milestone as a reflection of the enduring patriotism and commitment demonstrated by the Party's grassroots overseas. In a goodwill message penned for the anniversary celebration, themed '33 Years of Devoted Service, Patriotism and Commitment: Reigniting the Base, Rebuilding with Our Core Values in Unity', he commended the chapter for its decades of sacrifice in bolstering the Party's foundations.
Dr. Acheampong noted, "Your 33 years of devoted service stand as proof that the NPP is more than a political organization - it is a family bound by values, patriotism, and commitment to Ghana's progress." In a statement to the Ghana News Agency, he articulated his vision for the Party's future, emphasizing the need to rebuild and unite its ranks. "I am offering myself to lead because I believe the NPP must rebuild from within, reigniting the base and restoring confidence. Unity is not just a theme; it is the foundation for victory in 2028 and beyond," he remarked.
Highlighting his background as a public servant, entrepreneur, and policymaker, Dr. Acheampong pointed to his record of advancing initiatives in various sectors such as food security, youth development, infrastructure, safety, and financial restoration. He argued that his leadership could merge experience with a fresh perspective, strengthening the NPP and preparing it to secure Ghana's future.
Dr. Acheampong urged diaspora members to continue their vital contributions to the Party's success, acknowledging their financial, logistical, and moral support. "The diaspora has always been the lifeblood of our Party, and your sacrifices have helped sustain us. Together, we must channel this strength into reigniting our base and rebuilding the NPP into the unified force that our nation needs," he stated.
Concluding his message, Dr. Acheampong tied his vision to the anniversary theme, emphasizing the importance of unity and core values. "This anniversary is not just about celebrating the past; it is a charge for the future. Let us commit ourselves to rebuilding with our core values in unity, for when we are united, no obstacle is too great for the NPP," he affirmed.
