Bono YEA Director Assures Unemployed Youth of Job Opportunities Under President Mahama

Sunyani: Unemployed youth in the Bono Region have been assured of enrolment in employable skill training modules to help them build and secure their future. Mr. Mustapha Omar Copson, the newly appointed Bono Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), stated his commitment to ensuring that the unemployed youth benefit from the Agency's employable skill training and other programs under President John Dramani Mahama's government.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Copson, who also serves as the Deputy Bono Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed his gratitude towards President Mahama for his appointment. He emphasized his understanding of the challenges faced by the youth in the Bono Region and pledged to work diligently to provide them with decent job opportunities. Mr. Copson highlighted the importance of empowering the youth to contribute significantly to national development.The YEA, established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887), aims to sup port young people aged 15 to 35 through skills training and internship modules, aiding their transition from unemployment to employment. Mr. Copson underscored that denying the youth employment opportunities could lead to national issues, which is why President Mahama's administration is focused on resetting the nation to provide jobs for the youth.He urged the youth in the region to remain calm and maintain their confidence in President Mahama's leadership, assuring them that the reset agenda is progressing and will have a significant impact on the socio-economic livelihoods of Ghanaians, particularly the youth.
