Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng, the incumbent NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency has filed his nomination forms to contest the December 7 polls for the second time.The Parliamentary candidate who filed his forms on Thursday at the Electoral Commission Office at Bibiani in the Western North Region, was accompanied by the constituency, regional executives, and massive party supporters amidst brass band procession.Mr Francis Addai Boateng, the Returning Officer, received the forms and assured of a diligent and fair process, advising the members to promote peaceful polls and desist from electoral violence.Speaking to the media after filing the forms, Mr Obeng Boateng expressed optimism that the electorates would vote massively for him and Dr. Bawumia to win and to continue the good works started in 2017 to improve upon the living standard of the people.He mentioned the introduction of free senior high school policy, one constituency, one ambulance, restoration of teacher tra inees and nurses' allowances, creation of six new regions, construction of astro turf, district road improvement programme (DRIP) as some of the party's achievements.According to him, it was his desire to improve upon the quality of life of the people, hence his contesting the seat again to help complete his vision for the constituency.Mr Obeng Boateng expressed gratitude to his constituents for their overwhelming support and pledged to continue serving them with dedication, integrity, and a progressive vision.Source: Ghana News Agency
