Kumasi: Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima Kwanwoma District, has issued a stern warning to the staff of the Assembly regarding absenteeism, lateness, and general apathy towards work, labeling these behaviors as detrimental to productivity and development. Addressing employees from the various decentralised departments, Mrs. Asamoah expressed her concerns about the conduct of some workers who prioritize personal engagements over their official responsibilities.According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Asamoah emphasized that public sector workers must deliver services that are commensurate with the benefits and privileges they receive. She urged the staff to demonstrate commitment and discipline in their duties. Furthermore, she encouraged the Assembly's workforce to foster unity, love, and cooperation to implement impactful programs aimed at improving the living standards of people within the district.Mrs. Asamoah assured the employees of her openness, stating, "If you encounter any challenges or do not understand any processes, please don't hesitate to approach my office. It is open to all." She also appealed to department heads to be receptive to the concerns of their subordinates to build mutual trust and boost morale, highlighting that a conducive work environment is a priority for the Assembly.In her concluding remarks, Mrs. Asamoah urged the staff to shun indiscipline and lackadaisical attitudes, warning that absenteeism without permission is a serious breach of civil service regulations. She reiterated the need for every staff member to demonstrate responsibility and commitment, stressing that the district's development depends on a dedicated and efficient workforce.
