Tunis: Tunisian Ghofrane Hmaidi Wednesday won a new bronze medal in shot put as part of the Arab U23 Athletics Championships day-4 events in El Ismaïlia (Egypt). Chayma Chouikh took the fourth spot.At the close of these championships, Tunisia finished 6th with 8 medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze). Morocco topped rankings with 32 medals, including 16 gold, ahead of Egypt (39 medals, including 11 gold) and Algeria (15 medals including 6 gold).Hmaidi and Sinda Garma snatched Tunisia's two gold in discus throw (38.52m) and hammer throw (59.53 m), respectively.Tunisia was represented by eight athletes, namely Rihab Dhahri (1500m and 3000m steeplechase), Oussama Farhat, Rayène Cherni and Mayssa Boughdir (10000m walk), Chayma Chouikh and Ghofrane Hmaidi (discus and shot put), Islem Kethiri (heptathlon) and Sinda Garma (hammer).Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
