Apremdohene Calls for Financial Support to Complete Community Centre Project.

Gwira Banso: Nana Ette Akrada II, Chief of Gwira Banso in the Western Region, has urged Ghanaians to abandon destructive behaviors that could undermine the progress achieved in Ghana's democratic system. He emphasized the importance of politics being a contest of ideas, free from insults and attacks, and reinforced the message that Ghana must remain united.According to Ghana News Agency, Nana Akrada II, who is also a Military Officer, made these remarks while chairing a public gathering organized by the Apremdohene to raise funds for the construction of an ultra-modern community centre in the area. He highlighted his military experience to caution against the destructive nature of war and anarchy, stressing the need to maintain Ghana's status as a beacon of hope for Africa.The proposed community centre is set to include 12-room accommodation, a museum, conference facilities, and a library. The project still requires GHC 1.5 million for its completion. Nana Egya Kwamina XI, the Apremdohene, expressed that the initiative was conceived four years ago to provide the community with a standard facility. He acknowledged the efforts of early contributors and encouraged further support from companies and individuals.Additionally, Mr. Justice Ennin, the Western Regional Director of the NCCE, used the occasion to educate the community about their civic duties, emphasizing peaceful voting and politics without derogatory remarks. The fundraising appeal during the event successfully raised GHC 77,358.
