Anloga DCE Kicks Off Tenure with Comprehensive Familiarisation Tour

Anloga: Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the newly appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Anloga District Assembly, has embarked on a comprehensive familiarisation tour as her first official duty. The tour, conducted on Wednesday, 16th April, focused on key public facilities within the district, marking the beginning of her proactive approach to leadership.

According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Kpedor commenced her tour with visits to critical institutions and structures, including the ongoing District Assembly office complex. During her inspection, she emphasized her commitment to ensuring the timely completion and functionality of these essential facilities. "I believe that leadership must begin with first-hand knowledge of the situation on the ground. These sites are not just structures; they are the foundation for effective administration and service delivery," she stated.

The DCE also reviewed essential equipment, such as the District Road Improvement Project (DRIPS) machines, and engaged with site engineers to understand their needs and challenges. Her next stop was the newly completed car park in Anloga, which awaits official commissioning. She highlighted its importance in addressing transportation and congestion issues for both drivers and pedestrians.

At the Anloga Fire Service station, Madam Kpedor met with the Chief Fire Officer and her team, discussing the challenges they encounter in maintaining public safety. She acknowledged the dedication of the personnel and the logistical constraints they face, saying, "Our security and emergency services are the silent guardians of our communities. It is our responsibility to ensure they have the resources they need to perform effectively."

The tour concluded with a visit to the Anloga Magistrate Court, where the DCE held a cordial discussion with the Magistrate and staff. The focus was on understanding the judicial system at the district level and identifying areas where the Assembly could provide support.

In a conversation with Ghana News Agency following the tour, Madam Kpedor explained her motivation, stating, "This tour is not symbolic, but it represents my leadership style, engaged, responsive, and committed to inclusive development. Together, we will build a stronger District." She also pledged to prioritize infrastructural development for education and health.

Her hands-on approach has been well-received by stakeholders in the district, who view it as a promising start to a tenure focused on transparency, institutional strengthening, and grassroots development.
