Tolon: Some farmers in the Tolon District have undergone training on crop rotation to learn and adopt good agronomic practices to help improve their yields and livelihoods. The training was organized by Accelerating Impact of Climate Change Research for Africa (AICCRA) to showcase the role of agricultural technologies in crop rotation, aiming to increase production.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Iddrisu Muniru Mustapha, Crop Officer of AICCRA in the Tolon District, highlighted the objective of the training during an event held in Tolon. He stated that the purpose was to empower farmers with modern tools and equipment, facilitating effective knowledge transfer. "We prioritize farmer empowerment by delivering tailored guidance and resources to bridge knowledge gaps and catalyse sustainable growth," Mr. Mustapha emphasized.Mr. Abdul Basit Zakari, Tolon District Director of the Department of Agriculture, expressed the department's readiness to support local farmers in increasing production. He conveyed g ratitude to AICCRA for its initiative, noting that it complements government efforts to boost agricultural production in the country.Mr. Abukari Abdullah, a participant in the training, praised the intervention, stating, "AICCRA has been a game-changer for us. The training and support have significantly improved our farming practices, and the results are evident."
