Accra Inter-City Homowo Marathon - one of the biggest road races in Ghana has received a major boost from Decathlon Ghana.The Accra Inter-City Homowo Marathon would be held on Saturday, September 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium.Decathlon is the leading French Sports Retail Company with over 40 years experience in the design, production and retail of sports equipment and gears in more than 50 countries worldwide.Decathlon Ghana, as part of their support would provide some selected winners of the race with sports shoes and gifts after the race.They would also support the organisation of the event with branded start arc and venue for all pre-event such as press conferences, sports exhibitions among others.In addition, there would be exhibition of other sporting equipment such as Darts, Table Tennis, among others at the finish point of the race.A statement from the organisers of the race, Medivents Consult expressed appreciation to the largest sports retail company in Ghana.It said, the organisers are delighted with the support from Decathlon Ghana, whose core business is sports.'This is a perfect collaboration, as sports event organisers its always a pleasure to have partners like you,' the statement said.Accra Inter-City Homowo Marathon is an annual road race organised by Medivents Consult and supported by the Ga Traditional Council (GTC).Over 2000 participants are expected to run in the third edition of the race.Source: Ghana News Agency
