Dambai: Nana Kwaku Beyenor II, Chief of Dambai, has urged residents of Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region to prioritise peace and tranquility as the country prepares for the upcoming elections. Speaking at a consultative dialogue and constituency level peace-pact meeting held in Dambai, Nana Beyenor emphasised the importance of maintaining calm and composure even in the face of different opinions and perspectives.According to Ghana News Agency, the chief highlighted that post-election violence poses a significant threat not only to Ghana but to the entire African continent. He made an appeal to political party leaders to promote peaceful messages, encouraging their supporters to view opponents as competitors, not enemies.Nana Beyenor pointed out that with the international community observing, Ghana has a unique opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to peace and democracy. He stated, "No Ghanaian is willing to be a refugee, we must make it a topmost priority to protect and maintain the peace w e have today."Additionally, the Dambai Chief appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) to be vigilant and conduct its duties without fear or favour to ensure free, fair, and credible elections.
