Wenchi Paramount Chief Refutes Cattle Grazing Allegations

Wenchi: Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III, the Paramount Chief of the Wenchi Traditional Area in the Bono Region, has refuted claims of allowing Fulani nomads to graze their cattle in the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued and signed by Mr. Reindorf Oware, the aide to Tabrako III, emphasized that the paramount chief has not granted any individual, chief, odikro, or group the authority to accept any animal on his behalf. The statement further clarified that any claims made by individuals or groups suggesting that they represent him are entirely baseless and made without his consent.

The statement reiterated the Paramount Chief's unwavering commitment to promoting and strengthening peace in the area. It also expressed the chief's displeasure with some people misusing his authority for selfish gains. The chief warned that decisive action would be taken against anyone found guilty of such misuse and urged the media to verify or cross-check their facts before disseminating information.
