Wassa Amenfi Central DCE Attends Thanksgiving Service to Mark Appointment

Ankaasei: Mr. Peter Amponsah, the Wassa Amenfi Central District Chief Executive (DCE), recently attended a Thanksgiving Service at Ankaasei Roman Catholic Church. The service was held to honor God following his appointment as the DCE for the area.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Reverend Father Akwasi Egyan, serving as the Parish Priest for Agona Amenfi Catholic Church, led the congregation in a sermon centered on the theme, 'For all things, give thanks to God.' He encouraged the attendees to consistently offer gratitude to the Lord, regardless of the challenges they face. During the service, Rev. Father Egyan emphasized the need for peace and unity among the community members to support both the DCE and the Member of Parliament in realizing their goals for the district. He also offered prayers for divine protection, guidance, strength, and wisdom for the DCE, the MP, and their families.

Mr. Amponsah conveyed his deep appreciation to several groups, including the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, the church, traditional leaders, family, and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party. He acknowledged their overwhelming support and committed to working diligently towards the district's development.

In her remarks, Mr. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the MP for Amenfi Central, pledged to collaborate with the DCE to facilitate the necessary development within the constituency. She pointed out significant developmental challenges, such as poor road conditions and inadequate educational facilities, and urged the community to support their efforts with prayers to achieve progress in the constituency.
