Tema: Mr. Isaac Ashai Odamtten, the Member of Parliament for Tema East Constituency, in collaboration with the Tema Metro Education Directorate, has inaugurated an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory for the Twedaase Junior High School to enhance digital literacy among students.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Odamtten noted that the initiative was a positive development for the community and signifies his commitment to enhancing educational resources and promoting literacy. He acknowledged the dedication of the students towards learning, sharing a personal anecdote about his own school experiences to encourage them.
Mr. Odamtten assured the students of his commitment to their education and highlighted the support from President John Dramani Mahama for educational initiatives, emphasizing the importance of computer literacy.
Mrs. Bernice Ofori, the Tema Metro Education Director, praised the MP for his vision to improve education in the area, particularly in ICT. She revealed that the MP has also provided an ICT facilitator for the new facility and appealed for a projector to aid in teaching.
Mrs. Rebecca Yaa Menssima Pobee, the Headmistress of Twedaase JHS, commended the MP for his gesture, reiterating the positive impact the new lab would have on the school's teaching and learning activities.
In a heartfelt display of gratitude, the students recited a poem expressing their appreciation towards the MP, highlighting the transformative impact of the new computer lab on their educational journey.
