Tano South MP Constructs Child Welfare Center for Onwe-Nkwanta Community


Onwe-Nkwanta: Mr Charles Asiedu, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano South in the Ahafo Region, has inaugurated a Child Welfare Center in Onwe-Nkwanta, a farming community within the constituency, to enhance healthcare delivery.



According to Ghana News Agency, the MP also evaluated the progress on the Community-based Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound he is developing for the community. During a brief ceremony, Mr. Asiedu addressed the local chiefs and residents, reiterating his dedication to advancing the constituency’s development and improving the lives of its people.



Mr. Asiedu expressed optimism that the new center would address issues affecting the growth and development of children in the area. He urged the community to maintain the facility to maximize its benefits. The construction of these projects began in 2024 when Mr. Asiedu was a Parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).



The MP emphasized his focus on health and child development, promising to support the proper upbringing of children and meet the community’s healthcare requirements. Several women from the area expressed their gratitude for the center and requested the swift completion and handover of the CHPS compound for community use.
