Berekum: Hajia Fatima Abubakar, the President Nominee for the Berekum East Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region, has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for her nomination. As the Presiding Member of the Berekum East Municipal Assembly, she conveyed her optimism regarding the endorsement by the Assembly Members.
According to Ghana News Agency, in an interview at Berekum, Hajia Abubakar, who is also the Bono Regional Women Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), encouraged the community to overcome divisions and support her efforts to advance the municipality's development. She emphasized the importance of collective support in pursuing the President's vision for a better nation.
Hajia Abubakar committed to providing selfless leadership aimed at both the municipality's development and the NDC's growth. Additionally, she urged the community to value and safeguard the existing peace to facilitate the rapid socio-economic development of the area.
