PNC Running Mate Joycelyn Akorfa Dotse-Ametsi Installed as Development Queen for Abutia-Kloe

Abutia-Kloe: Madam Joycelyn Akorfa Dotse-Ametsi, the running mate for the People's National Convention (PNC) in the upcoming 2024 general elections, has been ceremoniously installed as the development queen for Abutia-Kloe in the Ho West district of the Volta Region. Her installation took place under the stool name Mama Woe Nenyo I during a vibrant ceremony held over the weekend.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mama Woe Nenyo has committed to collaborating with local chiefs, queen mothers, and citizens, including those residing abroad, to spearhead development in the region. She emphasized the importance of community development, acknowledging the need for collective efforts to ensure its sustainability.

Highlighting the region's potential, Mama Woe Nenyo pointed out the abundant natural beauty and fertile land in Abutia, which are prime for agribusiness and could provide employment opportunities, especially for the youth. She stressed that unity is crucial for community growth and expressed her intentions to collaborate with relevant authorities to enhance the area's tourism prospects and attract investment.

Mama Woe Nenyo also noted Abutia's historical significance as the site of a state farm during President Kwame Nkrumah's era, where crops like cotton and pepper were cultivated with assistance from Chinese experts. She envisioned the possibility of transforming Abutia into an industrial hub through cooperative efforts and urged local leaders and the diaspora to work together in harmony to accelerate development.

Mr. Bernard Morna, the PNC's Presidential candidate and guest of honor at the ceremony, encouraged Mama Woe Nenyo to lead transformative development initiatives in the area. He highlighted the challenges posed by chieftaincy and land disputes in the country, emphasizing the need for solutions to these issues for a better future.
