Plan Ghana Empowers Youth-Led Organisations for Greater Impact

Mr Gbana further noted that the training would enable young individuals to efficiently manage their organisations and secure funding for programme implementation aimed at societal impact. He expressed confidence in the energy, capacity, and innovation of young people to drive change within their communities. Additionally, Mr Gbana highlighted the organisation's focus on the development and well-being of girls, acknowledging the specific challenges they face due to vulnerabilities.

Participants from youth-led organisations expressed optimism about the impact the acquired skills and knowledge would have on their communities. Mr Sumaila Chakurah, CEO of NoniHub, a technology and entrepreneurship organisation in Wa, mentioned that the training would enhance partnerships between youth-led organisations and Plan International Ghana. He noted that the new knowledge would help increase youth engagement and develop gender-sensitive programmes to address socio-economic disparities.

Ms Fadila Fuseini, the Director of Tiyumba Hope Foundation in Tamale, praised Plan Ghana for its effective model in engaging youth-led organisations, highlighting that the NGO not only provides funding but also builds organisational capacities. Ms Martha Anabila, founder of Martha Inspires Foundation in Tamale, shared that the workshop would enhance her organisation's ability to engage project communities, particularly in promoting green enterprise and women's entrepreneurship.
