Kumasi: The Law Students Union of KNUST has honoured Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, former NPP Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South, for his selfless leadership and consistent support towards youth development and the advancement of young minds. A citation signed by Mr. Evans Osei Bonus, President of the Union, was presented to Mr. Appiah at a dinner and awards night in Kumasi.
According to Ghana News Agency, the citation hailed Mr. Appiah as 'an extraordinary statesman, a consummate leader, and a benevolent pillar of support for young minds.' It emphasized his approach to leadership, highlighting that he has chosen to lead through action, generosity, and a steadfast commitment to the growth of young minds.
The students expressed that Mr. Appiah's financial support, consistent counselling, and visionary guidance have significantly contributed to the success of the Union's activities. They acknowledged his role in opening his doors, hands, and heart to the students, which they believe has cemented his legacy within the Union. The students recognized his investment in their potential, noting that he saw in them not just students but the promise of a brighter Ghana.
They further praised him for investing in that promise with the perspective of a father and the insight of a statesman, a gesture they said they would forever cherish. The citation also highlighted how Mr. Appiah's exemplary leadership has influenced them as future custodians of justice and leadership.
