Dormaa-Ahenkro: An inter-schools' sports competition aimed at unearthing the talents of school children has concluded in Dormaa-Ahenkro, located in the Bono Region. The event, which took place at the Dormaa Senior High School Park, saw participation from 17 selected basic schools within the Dormaa Central Municipality. The competition featured children ranging from Kindergarten to Junior High School levels.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Eric Darko, the organiser of the competition, stated in an interview that the event offered school children the chance to engage in various sports such as volleyball, athletics, handball, and football. The competition served as a platform for identifying talented children who have now been chosen to take part in the forthcoming inter-circuit sports competition, also scheduled to be held in Dormaa-Ahenkro. This initiative aims to nurture and develop the hidden sporting talents of the participating school children.
Mr. Darko highlighted the abundance of sporting talent within the Municipality and urged the public to support such competitions.
