Ghana Athletics Confirms Team for Africa Schools Sports Championship

Accra: Ghana Athletics has confirmed a team of 10 athletes to compete in the upcoming Africa Schools Sports Championship. The young athletes are eager to represent their country and demonstrate their skills on the continental stage.

According to Ghana News Agency, the team includes Darkoah Janet Kwarteng, Mensah Comfort, Ohenewaa Liticia, Eghan Christiana, Sulemana Fulera, Boateng Appiah Alex, Konadu Blessing Junior, Tettey Philip, Nunu Richard, and Papa Kweku Ayim. These athletes have been selected from various senior high schools across the nation.

Ghana will participate in the track and field events, with Coaches Atsu Nyamadi and Yelewana Zenanta in charge of the team's technical preparations and performance. The championship is scheduled to take place in Algeria from July 24 to August 1, 2025.

The Ghanaian delegation plans to depart from Accra on July 23, with their sights set on achieving success and bringing pride to their nation.
