Central Tongu District Assembly Pledges Support for Local Business Growth

Central Tongu: Mr. Dodzi Addison Mornyuie, the District Chief Executive of Central Tongu, has reaffirmed the district assembly’s commitment to supporting local businesses. This was made evident during his recent visit to Omni Poultry Farm at Agbenyokofe, and the Blue Sea Island Limited where he witnessed firsthand the significant contributions such enterprises make to the local economy.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Mornyuie emphasized that businesses like Omni Poultry Farm are crucial partners in the district’s development, providing employment opportunities for young people and contributing to the district’s internally generated funds (IGF). He assured that the district assembly would continue to create an enabling environment for local businesses to thrive.

‘The district assembly recognizes the vital role local businesses play in driving economic growth and development. We are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to help them succeed, and we believe that this collaboration will have a positive impact on the lives of our residents,’ Mr. Mornyuie said.

The DCE mentioned that by supporting local businesses, the assembly would stimulate economic activity, create jobs, and improve the overall well-being of residents. ‘The district assembly’s support for local businesses is expected to have a ripple effect on the local economy, and as we continue to work with local businesses, residents can expect to see more development projects and initiatives that this will trigger,’ Mr. Mornyuie added.
