Biakoye: Mr. Bilal Kassim, the Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for the Biakoye District in the Oti Region, has congratulated Community Protection Assistants (CPAs) who have successfully completed their training to serve as CPAs.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kassim extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 2025 pioneering batch of CPA graduates, acknowledging their dedication and perseverance in reaching this milestone. In his statement, he expressed gratitude on behalf of the YEA in Biakoye to individuals and leaders who supported the initiative, specifically acknowledging the Member of Parliament for Biakoye, Mr. Jean Marie Formadi, for her leadership and vision, as well as the District Chief Executive, Mr. Eric Opong, for his continuous support.
Mr. Kassim commended Chairman Asiome Amegla of the Biakoye National Democratic Congress for his oversight role and the NADMO Coordinator, Mr. Rashid Dauda, for his tireless efforts. He highlighted the significance of the achievement, noting that in Biakoye alone, about 33 individuals have graduated as Community Protection Assistants, marking a significant step for both the graduates and the district in improving community safety.
Mr. Kassim emphasized the importance of the CPA initiative as a timely intervention to address the high rate of unemployment in the country. He expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic and the government for creating such opportunities and extended his best wishes to the graduates as they embark on their service. Across the Oti Region, more than 292 individuals have graduated as CPAs.
