Over 8,000 Candidates Writing the 2025 WASSCE in Atwima Enclave

Atwima: A total of 8,835 candidates from 11 senior high schools are participating in the ongoing 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) within the Atwima enclave of the Ashanti Region. Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality has the highest number of registered candidates, totaling 3,011, while Atwima Nwabiagya North District follows with 2,454 candidates.

According to Ghana News Agency, data obtained from the Examination and Public Relations Officers of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the districts shows that Atwima Kwanwoma registered 1,714 candidates for the examinations. Meanwhile, Atwima Mponua has 1,656 candidates, comprising 907 males and 749 females.

During an address at Barekese, Osei Tutu, and Spiritan Senior High Schools in Atwima Nwabiagya North, Mr. Frank Duah Boateng, the District Director of Education, encouraged the candidates to strive for excellence in their future endeavors. He emphasized the importance of focusing and working independently to the best of their abilities while avoiding examination malpractice, which could adversely affect their results and future.

Mr. Boateng also called on the invigilators and other stakeholders to strictly adhere to the examination rules and regulations to prevent any issues or complications during the examination process.
