Banda MP Pledges to Eliminate Schools Under Trees with Infrastructure Development

Banda: Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, the Member of Parliament for the Banda constituency in the Bono Region, has pledged to ensure that no school holds classes under trees in the constituency. Efforts are underway to eliminate all such schools within the next two years, and the government is creating more job opportunities for the youth.

According to Ghana News Agency, the MP indicated that Senior High Schools in the area would benefit from infrastructure development. Additionally, preparations for constructing a 24-hour economy market in the district are progressing. Mr Ibrahim, who also serves as the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, made this pledge during an interaction with constituents in Banda-Ahenkro, the constituency capital. He also mentioned that construction on an AstroTurf project in the area would commence soon.

Mr Ibrahim highlighted the government's focus on creating job opportunities for the youth, stating that they would be given the chance to work and contribute to development. During his visit, he presented 1,500 bags of 25-kilogram rice and 1,000 pieces of wax print to women in the constituency. He also donated two motorbikes and roofing sheets to three individuals in the area.

Hajia Adizatu Seidu, the Banda Constituency Women's Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), called on women to support the MP's efforts to advance the development of the constituency.
