Asantehene Encourages Buipewura to Enhance the National House of Chiefs’ Image

Kumasi: The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on the Buipewura, Abdulai Jinapor II, Vice President of the National House of Chiefs (NHC), to leverage his public service experience to elevate the House’s stature. The Asantehene emphasized the importance of collaboration with the House’s President, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi, to ensure the chieftaincy institution is effectively positioned to contribute to national development.



According to Ghana News Agency, Otumfuo Osei Tutu shared these remarks during a courtesy visit by the Buipewura to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. The Buipewura, accompanied by Imams and elders from the Gonjaland, expressed gratitude to the Asantehene for his significant support and prayers, which played a crucial role in his election as the Vice President of the NHC.



The Asantehene praised the Buipewura for his contributions to the development of Gonjaland and urged him to continue his efforts to improve the living conditions of his people. Otumfuo Osei Tutu expressed confidence in the Buipewura’s ability to apply his expertise to benefit the NHC.



Buipewura Jinapor, who also serves as the Paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional Area, expressed his unwavering gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu for his support and guidance. He prayed for the King’s long life and requested his continued support in fulfilling his duties as the Vice President of the NHC.
