Environmental Sanitation Requires Commitment of All Stakeholders, Says Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE

Atwima nwabiagya south: Mr. Wisdom Osei Boamah, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South in the Ashanti Region, has urged the community to engage actively in maintaining environmental sanitation. He emphasized that ensuring a clean environment is a shared responsibility that demands the involvement and commitment of all community stakeholders.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Osei Boamah conveyed this message after participating in cleanup exercises with community members in Gyankobaa, Nerebehi, and Akrofrom. He highlighted the importance of one's environment as a reflection of their status and dignity in society, explaining that it not only portrays an individual's character and beliefs but also influences the respect they receive.

The MCE affirmed the district assembly's dedication under his leadership to fostering a cleaner and healthier environment, which would enhance the image of both the assembly and its residents. He praised the community members for their active involvement in the monthly cleanup exercise, recognizing it as a testament to their commitment to promoting good health and preventing disease in their areas.

Mr. Osei Boamah encouraged continued collaboration to create an environment that all can be proud of, expressing gratitude to those who supported the initiative.

In a related development, he expressed appreciation for the warm reception received during his first week 'Thank you and community engagement tour' in Apueyem, Nyamebekyere, Kyereyease, Kontomire, Sawua, Asakraka, and Adankwame. He explained that the government's development plans align with each community's aspirations and called for ongoing support to achieve the area's development goals. Key priorities include agriculture, road construction, education, electrification, and sanitation, with a commitment to addressing these needs collectively.
